SEED VS. TABLE GARLIC

You might be wondering what all this seed-versus-table-garlic fuss is all about.  Why couldn't you just buy table garlic and plant those in the ground.  After all, a clove is a clove right?  Well, not exactly and the reason is that our seed garlic is meticulously selected for quality by their health and size.  Seed garlic must be free of most defects (cuts, nicks, etc.) and be at least 1.75" in diameter.  The smaller bulbs from 1.5" to 1.75" in diameter are used for table garlic.  Pretty simple really, but big cloves produce big bulbs, so we want to ensure those are part of our seed offerings on Garlic Boss.  There is no difference in taste or quality for table garlic, they are just smaller in diameter!
